The Swiss franc was stable against the dollar and the euro in early European trade on Friday, awaiting new economic data to give direction to trade in the wake of US Federal reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's comments. The currency market showed limited reaction to Greenspan's second day of testimony to the US congress on Thursday. On Friday the dollar changed hands at 1.1840/45 francs little changed from 1.1834/36 francs late on Thursday.
The euro stood at 1.5477/82 francs, from levels of 1.5471/76 on Thursday.
